How does the service process for colour variation and external imperfections in solar panels work?

Libra Energy has developed a solar panel brochureOpens in a new tab that explains in detail which color variations may occur. We kindly ask you to use the brochure to explain to the end customer that a coating difference does not affect the performance of the panel and that the manufacturer will not provide warranty coverage for this.

Although color differences are excluded from the warranty terms of suppliers, we at Libra Energy always aim to think along with and support our customers.

What does Libra Energy need from you as a customer?

  • The starting point is the RMA formOpens in a new tab on our webshop. Always fill it in as completely as possible. The more information we have about a problem, the better and faster we can help you as a customer. An incomplete or incorrect problem description can lead to a wrong assessment of the situation and unnecessary costs
  • Based on the information you provide, Libra Energy will process your request. So please provide in advance as much evidence as possible of the colour difference you have found. Consider:

    • The brand/model of panels
    • Serial numbers (if possible separated into colour 1, colour 2, etc)
    • Purchase date and installation date
    • Pictures of the installation from different angles. Preferably also at different times of the day.
  • There may be spots, scratches or marks visible on solar panels. You can first try cleaning this with alcohol or distilled water combined with the soft side of a sponge and a chamois. If it does not provide a solution, Libra Energy can look with you and we can possibly start the RMA process.
