Patrick Beuken on EcoFlow: “Integration and ease of installation make the difference”

For Patrick Beuken of Energiek Limburg, EcoFlow is much more than a new name in the world of energy solutions. He sees the brand as a logical step towards the future, partly due to the ease of installation and the smart possibilities to interconnect systems. “If a manufacturer like EcoFlow has this vision, with high-quality in-house products that are also open to collaboration, then you truly position the brand as solution-oriented for the end user,” he says. In this article, Patrick explains how he implements EcoFlow in his projects and why he believes the brand will also become a major player in the Netherlands.

Energiek Limburg: personal service and sustainable solutions

Patrick Beuken is the owner of Energiek Limburg, an energy specialist that has been active for three years and is based in central Limburg. From this central location, he and his team efficiently serve customers in all directions: Heerlen, Maastricht, Roermond, Venlo and even Eindhoven are within easy reach. Since its foundation, Energiek Limburg has embraced the vision that the strength of a smart energy system lies in intelligence and integration. “Where three years ago end customers were mainly interested in solar panels, we now see that our expertise truly adds value by intelligently combining solar energy with battery storage, EV charging stations, energy contracts and energy management systems.” The company distinguishes itself through personal customer contact and a high level of technical expertise, ensuring customers always receive honest and professional advice.

Cooperation with Libra Energy and EcoFlow

“We prefer working with partners who consciously choose quality and well-designed products, which is why Libra Energy fits us so well,” Patrick explains. The cooperation started with the supply of solar panels and, according to him, increasingly aligns with the way Energiek Limburg operates, thanks to the support and proactive thinking of Libra Energy. When EcoFlow began expanding in the Dutch market, Patrick had the opportunity to work directly with EcoFlow as one of the first installers. He built a close relationship with the EcoFlow team, contributes ideas regarding product development and even installed the system in his own home. Since Libra Energy officially distributes EcoFlow, Energiek Limburg has also partnered with Libra Energy for EcoFlow products.

Ease of installation and attention to detail

What appeals to Patrick from an installer’s perspective is the ease of installation. The PowerOcean batteries are stackable, the inverters are plug-and-play, and even the smallest details, such as protective foam blocks and smart packaging, make installation easier and safer. According to Patrick, the installation manual sets an example for the industry, with clear illustrations and minimal text, allowing installers to immediately understand what needs to be done. “You notice that EcoFlow has experience with consumer products. They know how to present products in a user-friendly and structured way. Even the packaging and waste management are cleverly designed. That makes installers happy and saves time. The end customer benefits from that as well.”

Integration as the key strength

According to Patrick, EcoFlow’s greatest strength lies in its vision of integration. The brand not only offers a complete in-house ecosystem of batteries, inverters, charging solutions, accessories and consumer products such as Portable Power Stations, but also opens its products for integration with other brands and smart home platforms such as Homey. “That really resonated with me. I thought: if a manufacturer like EcoFlow has this vision, with high-quality proprietary products that are also open to collaboration, then you truly position the brand as solution-oriented for the user, rather than purely from self-interest. If you have the right vision, the rest will follow naturally. Long-term thinking belongs with products that users purchase for the long term.”

Consumer experiences

The first projects with EcoFlow PowerOcean have been successfully completed and customers are responding enthusiastically. The user-friendly app and the clear monitoring through EcoFlow PowerInsight enable users to track their energy performance instantly, without complicated explanations. Patrick notices that both the technology and the design of the products make a strong impression. “If someone has doubts, I invite them to come by for a cup of coffee. I show them how the system works in my own home. That is very powerful, because it makes the technology tangible and credible.”

The future of EcoFlow in the Netherlands

Patrick is convinced that EcoFlow will achieve the same level of popularity in the Netherlands as in Germany, where the brand is already well established. “In the Netherlands, EcoFlow is still relatively new, but I notice that interest grows as soon as people become familiar with the brand. In Germany, EcoFlow is already a well-known name and sells itself. I am convinced it will not take long before EcoFlow becomes just as successful here.” Together with Libra Energy, which shares the same focus on quality and innovative energy solutions, Patrick sees many opportunities to further grow the brand in the Netherlands.
